In a grand ceremony at the BMICH, the LK Domain Registry celebrated Sri Lankan presentation skills by awarding the best Sri Lankan websites of this year. Naturally, this means sites that use the .lk extension, thereby identifying themselves as Sri Lankan. This year the Gold went to, with the silver and bronze awards claimed by  and

There are four main criteria used for judging. The first is technical: completeness of content and navigation (urls and links), confirmation to W3C standards and browser compatibility fall into this criteria. The second is design, covering site architecture and user friendliness. Third and fourth are based on content and the level of interaction a site offers.

In addition to the three overall winners, gold, silver and bronze awards were given for the best in 7 categories of .lk websites: SME, News, Corporate, Government (nobody won the gold, but got second place), Non-profit and Educational, Entertainment and Lifestyle, and finally e-Commerce and Advertising.
