To provide a definitive answer on as to what exactly Big Data is can be quite a challenge. As the name says, big data deals with extremely large datasets. This data by itself usually refers to nothing in particular and discerning any patterns from it is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.
This is where big data analysis comes into play. Using big data analytics, data researchers can identify patterns, trends, and associations, especially relating to human behavior and interactions. The sheer amount of research you can do, if you know what you’re doing is definitely mind-boggling.
With that in mind, the Colombo Big Data Meetup will be happening once again. Following the success of the previously held Colombo Big Data Meetup, the next meetup will take place on the 15th of November 2017 at the Virtusa Auditorium located in Orion City. Under the topic of “Linguistic Analytics on Data Warehousing”, the Colombo Big Data Meetup will kick off at 5.30pm.
Well, that’s all part of the fun, isn’t it? We won’t give away too many details except to talk about the two speakers who will be presenting.
The co-organizer of Colombo Big Data Meet as well as experienced professional and database enthusiast, Dinesh is also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. With over 16 years of experience in the fields of data related technologies, Dinesh also spends his time consulting, training and implements various systems related to data solutions.
The second Dinesh for the day is also a Microsoft MVP for more than 8 years and holds a post as a Senior Architect at Virtusa. He has experience of over 15 years dealing and handling various versions of SQL Server and related applications.
As you can see, both speakers seem to be gearing up to deliver some pretty interesting content. If you want to be a part of the meetup, all you need to do is to head over to the Virtusa auditorium. While the meetup is a free event, seating is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.
