Raffles Colombo holds open house on 11th saturday august 2012

On 11th Saturday August 2012, Raffles Institute of Higher Education Colombo opened its doors to students to come and discover the possibilities of harnessing their creativity and talent and experience the innovative presentations and demonstrations conducted by its international panel of lecturers: Mr. Nathan Ober (Programme Co-ordinator for Multimedia and Visual Communication), Ms.Andreea Lonhardt (Fashion Design lecturer) and Mr. Ned Ronsairo (Interior Design lecturer).

Raffles Colombo College Director, Mr. Alex Quah and Academic Director, Associate Professor, Ms. Julie Ross, held a presentation and introduction for prospective students and explained the foundation of the Raffles Education Corporation network of colleges in the Asia Pacific region and the benefits of studying with Raffles Colombo.

Students were given the opportunity of experiencing exciting workshop demonstrations in the institute’s classrooms and were taken on a guided tour of the campus by its educational consultants, with whom they were able to pose their questions to and have a friendly chat with regarding the courses on offer.

At Raffles Colombo internationally recognized two – year Advanced Diploma courses are offered in:

  •       Fashion design 
  •        Fashion marketing and management  
  •        Visual communication
  •        Multimedia design
  •        Interior design 
  •        Jewellery design

The Advanced Diploma courses are taught by an international panel of well qualified lecturers, who create an easy – going environment in which the students learn and benefit from their experience, knowledge and state of the art facilities. The added advantage of enrolling with Raffles Colombo is the choice of completing two years in Sri Lanka at Advanced Diploma level and the final Degree year can be undertaken abroad in one of their branches in the Asia Pacific region: Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, and India.
