Teach Yourself Programming (Codecademy)

This year I joined this Codecademy, specifically by signing up for Code Year. They send me a lesson every week, which I put off but eventually do. It’s a simple, gradual and fun way to learn programming, in this case JavaScript. Thing is that I already learned Java in University. And forgot. So I’m relearning those basic principles, and learning that JavaScript is quite different from Java (in a good way). Even if you’re a pure beginner, however, it’s pretty easy. The thing goes step by step, and you can run and test code from within the browser. It gradually gets more advanced, but it’s gamified, with badges and stuff. Pretty cool. If you’re going to learn anything, code is good to know. I recommend.
