Recently, Red Herring announced the winners of its prestigious top 100 awards competition at an awards ceremony held in Manila, Philippines. 250 companies from 14 countries across Asia took part in this competition. From this massive pool, 168 made it to the finals. At these finals, they had to give a pitch at the Red Herring Asia Forum. One of these finalists was a Sri Lankan company. That company was Ceffectz (Pvt) Ltd, represented by its Founder / CEO – Mr. Buwaneka Ranatunge.
Getting into the competition, however, is no easy task. All competitors were selected based on strict criteria. This criterion analyzed the market size, patents, financing, trailing revenues AND the management expertise of each candidate company. Very strict criteria, but it ensures that any winners are certain to be cutting edge companies. It guarantees that these companies have the capacity to grow and succeed.
Despite this strict criteria, Ceffectz got in. Alex Vieux, Publisher and CEO of Red Herring said, “Ceffectz shows great potential and therefore deserves to be among the finalist’s companies.” So what does Ceffectz do? They are a Sri Lankan startup, which builds web apps, mobile apps, user interfaces, and provides professional IT consultations.
Two examples of products built by Ceffectz are CV Showcase and GreetlyApp. CV Showcase as its name suggests is a platform connecting both job seekers and employers. For job seekers, CV Showcase asks them to upload their CV’s and suggest suitable jobs for them. Whereas for employers, CV Showcase allows them to easily discover candidates. GreetlyApp, on the other hand, is an app that aims to be an alternative for greeting cards. With this app, you can create a digital greeting card from over 1000 designs. If you’re feeling creative, you can also create greeting cards your own designs using GreetlyApp.
The team at Ceffectz credits their success to primarily prioritizing their customers. We congratulate Ceffectz on achieving this mighty feat. We wish them the best of luck and success in the years to come.
