Held for the 5th consecutive year, CIMA Launch Pad has been a place to nurture entrepreneurial thinking for students from both private and state universities, corporate companies, volunteer organizations and even individuals. Thus far, we’ve seen startups such as Bear Appeal, and Grease Monkey. Organized by the CIMA Students Society, CIMA Launch Pad 2018 will be returning once more this year. The event partners would be Hatch as Accelerator partner, Konekt as the Technology partner and CrowdIsland as the Investment partner.
But what exactly is CIMA Launch Pad 2018? At its core, CIMA Launch Pad aims to nurture up and coming entrepreneurs. This is done by a number of workshops, mentorship sessions, and pitches.

The layout of CIMA Launch Pad 2018
The CIMA Launch Pad would kick off with the call for applications. The deadline for this is the 12th of September 2018. From there, selected applications will go through a thorough workshop on pitches and presentations. This will be followed by a preliminary pitching round where teams will be further shortlisted.
From there, teams will be exposed to areas such as design thinking, valuation, legal marketing, and team building. This would be carried out via workshop carried out by subject experts and entrepreneurs.
This will be followed by a mini pitch to a panel of mentors, entrepreneurs and investors. Finalists of this will be chosen according to the scoring of the judges. Last, but by no means, the last would be the grand finale of CIMA Launch Pad 2018.
Here, finalists will make their pitches to a panel of judges. This would be followed by a Q&A session. The top 3 finalists would move on to a startup accelerator. One startup will be crowned the winner of CIMA Launch Pad 2018.
