Cric Quiz 2013 – for those who love the Gentleman’s Game

What is the National Sport of Sri Lanka? It’s Volleyball. Wait.. hold on.. not Cricket?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, we almost live, breathe and foretell Cricket in this country that most locals get this wrong sometimes – no ones to blame, that’s our nation’s passion! – TPLSL Anyone?

We at ReadMe share that same passion, and we welcomed Cric Quiz 2013 with open arms – after all, nerds too need some time-off!

What is Cric Quiz 2013 you ask? It’s a one-of-a-kind quiz competition which will focus exclusively on one of Sri Lanka’s greatest obsession, Cricket. The competition is scheduled to be held on Sunday the 27th of October at Park Premier, Excel World, Colombo.

How does it roll you ask? No we don’t take it to the grounds. It will be a table quiz where each team comprising of 5 members will collectively answer 50 questions over 5 rounds covering the different areas of Cricket including: Test Cricket, One Day Internationals, Twenty 20 Cricket, History, Players, Umpires, Venues and more. The competition is an “open” one and will feature teams from corporate organisations, schools and educational institutes; while individual groups can also take part.

So who’s doing this you ask? That’s Dashing Events, a dynamic and fast growing Sri Lankan event management company handling a wide variety of events. Check them out here. These folks have organised several ‘noteworthy’ quiz programmes in the recent past including the popular Biz Quiz 2013 (which again we were proudly part of), a quiz competition held exclusively for the mercantile sector of Sri Lanka.
