Infotel is well known as the largest ICT exhibition in the country. It’s where you’ll find what the industry has to offer from both established companies and young startups. As we’ve seen in previous years, Infotel 2017 will also host a startup pavilion. This pavilion is organized as part of the initiatives of ICTA, the Ministry of Telecommunication & Digital Infrastructure and the Startup Chapter of FITIS. What are these initiatives, you ask? Well, they are to provide market access and showcase opportunities for technology startups in Sri Lanka. This would be carried out by providing low cost/ subsidized exhibition opportunities.
How can I be a part of Startup Pavilion?
Well, the answer to that is quite simple. All you have to do is to fill out a form that is available here. All fields in the form are mandatory and as such should be filled out. If you do not fill out the application in a proper manner, the organizers have the right to reject your application.
Once the form is filled out and submitted, it will be evaluated by a panel of organizers. If everything is in place, you will receive an invoice within 48 hours to make the necessary payments. The registration fees would be LKR 11,735.00 (LKR 10,000.00 + 2% NBT + 15% VAT). Once your payment has been successfully carried out, your booth will be reserved.
What will the Startup Pavilion look like?
That question is best answered by looking at the image below. As you can see, all booths will be facing outwards towards the crowd walk ways.
It should be noted that certain features of the Startup Pavilion may be changed at the discretion of the organizers. Registrations for the Startup Pavilion end at on 23rd October 2017 at 11.59PM. If you are interested in showcasing your startup, then we urge you to get a move on and get yourself registered. If you have any inquiries, you can contact Prasad on 0777-793700.
