Getting from Point A to Point B in Colombo can be a challenge. Especially when it’s during the rush hour. Why? The answer to that question is simple: traffic. To say that Colombo’s poor traffic management is a problem would be an understatement. But now you have the chance to do something about it. Janashakthi Insurance just launched their latest campaign titled the: Janashakthi Full Option Appathon.
What exactly is the Janashakthi Full Option Appathon?
This is a team-based challenge where you get the chance to win Rs. 1 million. The challenge is you have to propose and develop an app that adds value to the general public. And the inaugural theme for the challenge is, ‘Solutions to issues caused by traffic.’
Powered by the world-renowned Google Developer Group (GDG), the Janashakthi Full Option Appathon challenge is aimed at encouraging Sri Lankan youth to challenge their creativity and practical thinking skills. The challenge also wants to encourage Sri Lankan youth to use their skills in app development towards providing innovative solutions for issues faced by the general public.
How does the Janashakthi Full Option Appathon work?
The first stage of the challenge would see the participating teams apply. The applications will be accepted from all teams until the 30th of August.
