TechCrunch Disrupt is one of the most anticipated technology conferences of the year. It is the place to be and is the world’s foremost authority in debuting revolutionary startups, introducing game-changing technologies, and discussing what’s top of mind for the tech industry’s key innovators. Disrupt gathers the best and brightest entrepreneurs, investors, hackers, and tech fans for on-stage interviews, the Startup Battlefield competition, a 24-hour Hackathon, Startup Alley, Hardware Alley, and After Parties.

The event, Disrupt 2015 takes place from today (21st September) to the 23rd of September 2015 in San Francisco.

Almost 100 speakers from companies such as Dropbox and the messaging app Telegram will be speaking at this event in addition to members from various Angel investment firms.

Why is this important to us? Because one of our very own citizens is taking part in this event as well. Nayana Samaranayake, the man behind Storylize, a cross-platform mobile app for creating stories with your friends, will be debuting his app for the Disrupt 2015.

Storylize helps you share the exciting moments in your life along with your friends. Everyone’s pictures and captions come in realtime to create a story as it happens. Your friends pictures help tell the story from their view, adding exciting twists to the story.

With a focus on privacy and simplicity, you can get up and running in seconds and preserve those great memories with friends for a lifetime.

The app will be presented along with numerous other apps by other members taking part and out of them, the idea that receives the most number of votes will proceed to get a chance to pitch his/her idea on stage. Now that is really cool.

To show your support, all you need to do is click here and vote for the app. Voting time will be from 8.30pm in Monday (21st) to 2.30am on Tuesday (22nd).
