The main selling point that Nubia is showing off with the Nubia Red Magic 3 is that the device has an actually fan built into it. With a maximum of 14,000rpm, the Nubia Red Magic 3 will also have a liquid cooling system, much like the Razer Phone 2, and to an extent, the Pocophone F1, and even the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
The other specs of the Nubia Red Magic 3 are nothing to scoff at either. There’s a Snapdragon 855 processor and Adreno 630 for all those gaming and CPU heavy tasks. Storage options go from 128GB with either 6 or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with a whopping 12GB of RAM. The display is a 6.65” Full HD+ AMOLED display supporting HDR and a 90Hz refresh rate. Emphasizing the fact that this is indeed a gaming phone, the Nubia Red Magic 3 has shoulder triggers that can be mapped for shortcuts or even in-game functions, much like you would use a regular gamepad. There’s also a switch that launches a gaming dashboard called “Red Magic Game Space 2.0”. This gives the user the ability to quickly launch games, control the device’s fan speed and monitor temperatures. You can even use it to record in-game video.
The cameras on the Red Magic 3 are a 48mp rear camera and 16MP selfie camera. You also get a pair of front-facing speakers with DTS:X surround sound and a 3.5mm jack as well. There’s also RGB lighting on the back of the phone to add that extra ‘oomph’ to your phone.
