If you haven’t heard of the Xperia Z3, you should. This phone – arguably the best-looking Android phone Sony have produced to date – is worthy of attention. It looks good, performs good, has a great screen and battery life, and is a lot more water-and-dust proof than anything we’ve seen on the mainstream high end lists this year. And, if you’ve got some time and patience on your hands, it’s got a 20.7 MP camera that excels with Instagram or Camera360. It’s also rare enough not to be commonplace.
Singer recently launched this at the BMICH, alongside the Z3 Compact. The Z3 Compact’s an interesting device – GSMARENA’s placed it with the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha as one of the best sub-5″ smartphones this year.
Both are expensive. We dropped by a showroom to check out the prices: Rs 114,000 for the Z3 and Rs 94,999 for the Z3 Compact. While the Z3 Compact’s asking price keeps it within the Galaxy Alpha – iPhone 6 range that it competes in, the Z3 is arguably overpriced – Liberty Plaza phone stores have the Z3 for much less, between Rs 85,000 and Rs 93,000.
If you’re on the hunt for a flagship, add both the Z3 and the Z3 Compact to your list – but make the rounds at Majestic City and Liberty Plaza first. Chances are you’ll save yourself a lot of cash.
