SLASSCOM releases their Salary Survey for 2014

The Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) have released the Salary and Benefits Survey 2014, a document that provides a detailed analysis of (obviously) pay scales across the IT/BPM industry, HR trends, employee retention strategies and such all the way from small companies to large IT, ITES, BPO and KPO companies in Sri Lanka.

According to SLASSCOM, the report covers salary scales for IT job positions (including fresh graduates), provides averages, medians and percentile values and benchmarks the local data against regional data to as to give a better picture of where Sri Lanka stands.

However, if you’re expecting it to be a free download, think again. It’s corporate data and is quite expensive. A free alternative would perhaps be Payscale ( which, while as not detailed, still seems to be fairly accurate for most large companies.

You can inquire about the report from 0117884460 or email [email protected].

  1. If companies like Virtusa is participating in this survey the actual figure should be pretty low. While good for the corporations trying to keep people’s salary low, how often will real talent will decide they are in a global marketplace and migrate or move into remote working fields?
