(ISC)2 Colombo Chapter Board Member Clinches ISLA Award

Sujit Christy.bmp(ISC)² or rather “ISC-squared”, the world’s largest information security professional body and administrators of the CISSP had their 7th annual Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA) Program recently in Manila, Philippines.

Part of (ISC)²’s global Awards Program, ISLA aims to recognize the ongoing commitment by information security leaders in Asia-Pacific, who have significantly enhanced the workforce by demonstrating a leadership role in an information security workforce improvement initiative project.

Sujit Christy CISSP, director, Layers-7 Seguro Consultoria received the (ISC)² President’s Award for Asia-Pacific in recognition for the instrumental role he played in bringing the Safe and Secure Online program to India and Sri Lanka, localizing the materials to meet the requirements of CIRT – Indian Navy & Data Security Council of India (DSCI). He is also an (ISC)² exam supervisor as well as the founder and charter secretary of the (ISC)² Chennai Chapter, Board member of the (ISC)² Colombo Chapter, member of the panel of (ISC)² instructors and a volunteer with (ISC)² Foundation.

Sujit is a security professional and one of the 1500+ (ISC)² credential holders in India said that this is the first time the President’s award has been received by anyone in the SAARC Region and that he is honored to be the first recipient of this elite award.
