TEDxColombo is back for 2016

TEDxColombo is easily one of the biggest events in our calendar. In case you’re lost, TED, short for Technology, Entertainment, Design, is a set of conferences held globally. Their motto is “Ideas Worth Spreading” revolves around many scientific, cultural, and academic topics. TEDx, on the other hand, is an independently organized TED event. Organized by a set of young dynamic individuals, TEDx too is about expressing your ideas.

Last year, TEDxColombo organized under the theme of “Reimagining Spaces” saw 550 participants. This year, TEDxColombo is going to be even bigger. The theme of the year is “Blueprint for Change” and the TEDxColombo team is hoping to host over 700 participants at the main venue. When exactly is TEDxColombo 2016 happening? At the moment, all we know is that it will be held in August.
“Colombo is the city of reinvention, and TEDxColombo brings together the thinkers and doers in our community who are making it happen,” said Safra Anver, Organizer of TEDxColombo. “This year marks the fifth run for TEDxColombo, and we are fuelled with excitement to make the experience different each year by bringing together an eclectic and unique array of speakers to share their wit, wisdom, passions and breakthrough ideas.”
