TEDx Colombo is happening! Whether you’ve heard of it or not, one of Sri Lanka’s most prominent events is now live and online at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, Colombo. 

For once, traffic hasn’t managed to slow us down – we’re here setting up our networks and tossing around invasive pamphlets as the introductory speeches are given. A TED conference, for those of you who are wondering, is a rare event that invites people to give the talk of their life – in 18 minutes or less. These speeches are shared free under Creative Commons licenses. As a result, some of the most amazing ideas have spread to all corners of the globe. Will TEDx Colombo prove to be as good as its international counterparts? Let’s see.
