Thurstan College gets new Computer Laboratory

Thurstan College can count itself lucky. They’ve received a new Computer Laboratory (courtesy of K.D. Ebert and Sons): they’ve also received a hundred computers from China.

Dispel thoughts of CRTs from your mind: as you can see in the video below, they’re quite new. The computers are a donation from the Chinese Communist Party in view of their 100th Anniversary. The President, Mahinda Rajapakse, declared open the lab and the three-story building in which it is housed.

We’re informed that Ministers Bandula Gunawrdena, Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the Maldives Dickson Dela and China’s Deputy Ambassador Ren Faqiang were there as well. Principals of surrounding schools and past pupils were also among the large gathering present.
