Yarl Geek Challenge Returns For a 4th Season

For it’s the 4th consecutive year, the Yarl Geek Challenge is back. That’s right; it’s that time again where the young entrepreneurs team up, build a product and present it to investors and top industry personalities. In case you’re lost, the Yarl Geek Challenge is one of the oldest meet-ups where industrial experts and competitors meet under a single roof to create opportunities out of wandering dreams.

The Yarl Geek Challenge is not just another opportunity where competitors are given a prize for coming up with a good product. No, this is where ideas get rectified by tips and guidance by the industry itself and a place where competitors become entrepreneurs. This year comes with more opportunities, for the adventurous few who decide to take up the challenge.

If you are among those who dare to be different, then you can take up the challenge by registering your team. This years teams for the Yarl Geek Challenge will fall under the Senior category or Junior category. The teams in Senior category will be part of an intense competition to create the next great startup. The teams in the Junior category on the other hard, will be encouraged to use their creativity to create IT solutions in a school level competition.

The official launch of Yarl Geek Challenge will take place on the 12th of September 2015 at TCT Hall in Jaffna from 1 PM onwards with angel investors, entrepreneurs, and experts of the industry in attendance. This is when everything begins to kick into high gear.

The main names behind this year’s Yarl Geek Challenge are: IronOne Technologies as the Gold Sponsor, and Dialog Ideamart, 99x Technologies, hSenid Mobile, Axienta, along with MAS Holdings as Silver sponsors. As in previous years, the Lankan Angel Network will also come in as the Strategic Partner for the Yarl Geek Challenge. There’s also the Education Department of the Northern Province which is organizing this year’s the Junior category of the Yarl Geek Challenge.
